OUR AFFIRMATIVE PROVIDER EDUCATION PROGRAM

Our educational program is simple and effective. We understand your busy schedule, which is why we created our program to be simple, situationally organized, and condensed without compromising quality.

Once you commit to becoming an affirmative provider with us, you will be given access to our educational materials. We designed our materials to be used as a reference when treating the various needs of LGBTQ+ patients.

Once you feel comfortable with the treatment guidelines, we ask you to sign a promise agreement to be included in our database of LGBTQ+ affirmative providers.

THE NEED

Stigma & Health Disparities

LGBTQ+ individuals are less likely to see a primary care provider and have increased health risks compared to non-LGBTQ+ patients. Additionally, studies have found that the majority of healthcare providers who do not identify as LGBTQ+ report feeling discomfort when having to address LGBTQ+ specific health issues. Our LGBTQ+ community has unique health needs and suffers disproportionally with mental and physical illness. Our goal is to increase access to healthcare and reduce health disparities by partnering with healthcare providers to provide specialized care for this community.

OUR DATA
